Fantastic Close Up of the Sun Released

Check out the video: The Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope has just produced the highest resolution image of the Sun’s surface ever taken. For the first time ever you can see features as small as 30 km (18 miles). And as expected we can also see boiling gas that covers the entire surface. Each “cell” is the size of Texas. These are signatures that indicate the transportation of heat from inside the Sun to the surface. These bright spots channel heat to the corona and could be one of the reasons why the corona is over 1 million degrees, much hotter than the surface of the Sun.
